....A SLIGHT DIVERSION.....

An interruption to planned broadcasts for an important account - normal transmission will be resumed after this excellent story............

After attending one training session, yesterday Buzzy participated in his first rugby festival, and his first game of full contact sport. He's joined the Ealing Trailfinders U9's and it was a 4-team round robin with games against, Teddington, London Irish and Rosslyn Park.

Let the battle begin.....

....way!

So with body armour on and Opro mouth guard (emblazoned with an Australian flag logo) in place, our little hero threw himself into the fray with his new teammates. Given he's had only one lesson, Buzzy pretty much only knew a couple of things - tackle the opposition (which he did with much relish),

only pass backwards (which he did occasionally),

and if you get the ball then run like hell (which he also did a lot)!!

Well, the boys didn't fare too well on the scorecard, losing 10-7, 4-3, and 'lots-not many' respectively, but it mattered little. Our boy was in his element, getting bumped and bruised like he's never experienced before, and giving as good as he got (it's amazing how little fellas toughen up in the name of sport).

They were beaten but not bowed, and now setting their sights on the next round in November when they will have had another 5 weeks of training under their belts. He slept very well last night!!!

The de-briefing

With his #1 fan
